Lexar Recalls USB drives for Burn Hazard

by Shivaranjan on July 7, 2006

Lexar has recalled around 66,000 units of its Jumpdrives for potential burn hazard while using which can cause property damage. The reason for recall is found to be overheating of the drives while in use.

Now a days I am fearing the use of my PC because I dont know when something is going to burn or explode. I feel hardware manufacturers have to concentrate more on the thermal design of their products. I think you are all aware of the recent overheating issues from Dell and Apple.

Let me know your opinion on these????
