Intel Core 2 Duo Launched
As planned Intel has finally launched their next generation Core 2 Duo Series processors on 27th July 2006. This was the most awaited piece of hardware in the market after Intel regained its performance crown.

The prices of the new processors (as of 26th July 2006) are:
- Core 2 Extreme X6800 - 2.93GHz - $999 (approx INR 44,955)
- Core 2 Duo E6700 - 2.66GHz - $530 (approx INR 23,850)
- Core 2 Duo E6600 - 2.40GHz - $316 (approx INR 14,420)
- Core 2 Duo E6400 - 2.13GHz - $224 (approx INR 10,080)
- Core 2 Duo E6300 - 1.86GHz - $183 (approx INR 8,235)
Note: I have assumed 1USD=45INR
I feel that my old computer should have failed at end of August
so that I could have got Core 2 Duo instead of the present configuration.

No, I was talking about its price…
Yes you read the price correctly….. I wish Intel prices these processors properly…..
Core logic will certainly bring up the fall in shares of Intel for sure. let’s see how AMD engineers going to respond to “core-logic” processors!
