Neowin Release:

Many members of the Neowin Community have taken time out of their busy schedules to help out with a new project known as Shift. The aim is to create a Live Linux CD that not only promotes Neowin, but also helps everyone involved learn more about the inner workings of the Linux OS.

The Shift Linux team is now proud to announce that version 0.2 of their distro is now available for download and testing. This version introduces Fluxbox as the main window manager, and a greatly increased hardware support. Whilst this is still a beta version, the team is very proud with how things are coming along!

  1. Good to see that there are many people who are now working on free licensing platform. But still people have to work hard to make all software to run in Linux based platforms till then it is good only for documentation and browsing the net.

  2. Has anybody tried this distro?
    Qwerty have you tried??

  3. Hi, I’ve upgraded (well, atlast, after several vain attempts!) my ie6 to ie7. Seems like its cool, but let me see how it serves my requirements!
