Share Huge Files Using GigaSize

ADVERTISEMENTS

Gigasize is a cool and better Rapidshare alternative for sharing huge files; the size limit per file is 1.5GB as opposed to 100MB per file of Rapidshare. There are two free ways in which you can use this service: free Center and free account method.

Free Center Method:
1. The file size limitation here is 1GB per file.
2. The file will be stored in Gigasize servers for 45 days after the last download of the file.

Free Account Method (requires free registration):
1. The file size limitation here is 1.5GB per file.
2. The file will be stored in Gigasize servers for 90 days after the last download of the file.
3. In your Gigasize account you can organize the file using the file organizer.

Advantages of Using Gigasize:

  • 1.5GB per file as opposed to 100MB per file of Rapidshare.
  • The most important advantage is that there is no waiting time for download to start as in rapidshare you have wait approximately 70 seconds to 80 seconds for download to start.
  • As of now no download limits. :-)

The service is still in alpha stage so there is a possibility of some bugs in the services. From today onwards I will be using this service for sharing files with my friends.

  1. I hope they don’t enforce any limits when they start getting users

  2. I was just about to say the same as John.
I hate the way Rapishare works.

  3. I blogged this a while back, and it’s a good service, but as the others have said, limits later on are no good.

It’s a good thing I have ready access to 3 dedicated servers for hosting files :P

  4. I will hate this service if they put limits. You are lucky man that you have access to 3 dedicated servers.

  5. [...] Today when I wanted to share a file with my friend I headed over to Gigasize to upload the file, but to my surprise I found that Gigasize is closed for Asian users. The website is says that they are upgrading their servers for users in Asian region, but they offer a link to get a premium account. I was very excited about this service when it was launched but now sadly it is not available. [...]

  6. The best website for sharing files is adrive.com you can upload at one time 2gigs(2048 megabytes). Just sign up and you get 50 gig of storage and they won’t even delete your account or file(s). It is a great website which everyone should try out

  7. Look when your computer is booting and you will have to hit like f3 or something like that and it will open bios. Then you can change the boot sequence and you make your cdrom boot first.
