Gadget Buying Spree

ADVERTISEMENTS

After Dad’s Nokia 2300 got retired it was time to buy a good phone; so I suggested him to get a smartphone instead of plain vanilla phone and moreover we had to get a 1GB memory card for our digital camera. Doing shopping in Chennai’s gadget market is the best thing I love to do.
So we went to Chennai’s gadget market and got these things:

  1. Nokia 6680 Smartphone
  2. 1GB Dual Voltage (DV) RS-MMC Flash Memory for Nokia 6680 as 128MB standard card is insufficient for today’s multimedia requirement.
  3. Nokia BH-200 Bluetooth Headset for Nokia 6680
  4. 1GB Sony Memory Stick Pro for our Sony Cybershot DSC-F88 digital camera.

So what can you expect now?
I will be reviewing Nokia BH-200 bluetooth headset and benchmarking the 2 memory cards. I will not be reviewing the Nokia 6680 as there are ‘n’ number of reviews available already.

  1. Congrats, Gadgets are your friend! :D

I’m holding off any buys till the new PC is ready, I need, well want a new phone, this 6170 is getting old now.

  2. man of all phone.. you got a nokia :) Somehow I dont like nokia phones, I always advocate Sony Ericsson Models, once you start using their phone, you will appreciate it..

The P910 is pretty good, might be little lucky, I am waiting for this

If you really want a nice smartphone you should consider iMate or o2 or HP iPAQ.

  3. Man i envy you . I would also love to go gadget hunting someday . Wish i could start earning soon .

    Thanks

I usually don’t suggest prefer sony ericsson smartphone. Sony Ericsson rulez in non-smartphone category. But in smartphone category Nokia rulez. Nokia smartphones have good community support as they are built on symbian os platform instead of windows mobile os like HP iPAQ, imate and O2. There are loads of apps for symbian OS based phones and you can do anything you want with your phone. But I have started developing a liking for the Motorala Q Phone which is also based on windows mobile

  6. I was just going through your blog and saw this comment by you. Infact the only reason I dont like Nokia smart phones are because they use symbian OS. I agree to the fact that they may give better options, but see how badly they run. All the N-series are very slow performers. I dont knoe if its the problem with Nokia or Symbian OS. I dont say that Nseries are not hit, just because I want my phone to be fast I dont prefer them.
