Microsoft Zune Design Cloned in China

Orphie the Chineese electronics manufacturer has cloned the Microsoft Zune’s design and released MPF2110 digital audio player in the chineese market. Now I expect to see some lawsuits in chineese courts. :D
What do these players sport?

  • 128 MB-2 GB flash memory
  • 1.5″/1.8″ color display
  • Plays MP3, WMA, WAV audio
  • Plays AMW, MTV, MPEG, AVI video
  • JPEG photo support, Voice recorder, FM tuner w/ recording, Lyrics
  • Supposedly comes in 9 colour combinations.

  4. The entry of zune in music market marks the end of monopoly and beginning of healthy competition between two global giants in the market. The product’s cost will come down because of this competition without compromising the quality. Reverse engineering of zune, even before it enters the market will only entertains the reign of monopoly to sustain by bringing down the market aspect of zune. I hope microsoft will take some action against this :-?
