Google Authentication for Writely

ADVERTISEMENTS

Writely web based word processor which is Google’s answer to Microsoft word will soon use Google authentication method for login, similar to Orkut social networking community. I came to know about this when I received a mail from writely team.

Dear shivaranjan.b,

In a few days, we will update your Writely account to use your shivaranjan.b [@] gmail.com Google Account registration settings.

This means you’ll need to use your Google Account password when signing in, not your Writely password (if they’re different).

If you’ve forgotten your Google Account password, just go to https://www.google.com/accounts/ForgotPasswd

Thanks!

  1. I’ve been meaning to test this … though honestly I don’t see online word processors taking off any time in the near future. :/

  2. Though they are not as popular as the desktop wordprocessors but they can become alternative to desktop alternative to combine with this is the google brand behind writely. :)
