Google Reader Gets New Look and Functionality

Google Reader the popular online RSS and Atom feed reader has got new user interface and set of features.
What is new in Google Reader?

  • Expanded view and list view
  • Simplified sharing functionality
  • Improved read-state management
  • Infinite scrolling
  • Unread counts
  • Mark all as read

I liked the list view feature very much as it makes your feed entries look like e-mails, just as it would it be in your Gmail mail box. Though I don’t use Google reader as my feed handling client but definitely these features will make more people to opt for Google reader in the future.

  1. About time! If they’d implemented this earlier, I might’ve stuck with Google for a while longer - but once you go Vienna, you don’t go back ;)

  2. It has entered late into the RSS market. Let us see how they promote their reader.
