AMD Planning Combined Processor Graphics Chip (Code Name Fusion)

AMD is working on a new processor core called Fusion which will have CPU and GPU integrated at silicon level. This integration could mean that the future processors will deliver more performance per watt, by this move AMD will also gain an edge in the future as Intel roadmaps as of now don’t have similar multi core products lined up.

My View:
If AMD succeeds in making such a chip then we won’t be needing separate graphics cards in our PC’s; looks like this could reduce the prices of future computers. When there is no graphics card in computer case then I may be able to develop a better ventilation system for my computer as graphics cards block some place inside the computer cabinet. :D
