Never Smash a WD-40 Can
ADVERTISEMENTS
Never smash a can of WD-40 as it can cause explosion and cause terrible injuries. See the video below that exposes the dangers of smashing a WD-40 can.
WD-40 is the trademark of a widely used penetrating oil (cleaner, lubricant and anti-corrosive solution) spray. It was developed in 1953 by Norm Larsen (then working for the Rocket Chemical Company) to eliminate water and prevent corrosion on electrical circuitry. It also has many household uses.

To be fair, and as commented on the original site, it can be seen that there is already a flame coming from the can before it is hit. In other words, what do you expect when you smash a pressurised container filled with a highly combustible material that already has what is a burning fuse attached. Much like a petrol bomb or Molotov cocktail except that the WD40 can is also pressurised, increasing both the danger and the spread of burning material, as can be seen. Definitely a contender for the Darwin awards though

What kind of idiot does something like this? It’s no different than taking a gun and pointing the barrel at your face and pulling thet trigger, wondering if the bullet with go thru your head…
Who hits a can anyway… on fire or not?
Ohhh…that must have hurt him a lot. This is the case with all pressurized cans I guess.
Yep Nirmal that must have hurt him a lot.
