My View:

This would really make my table lot more clutter free as I can move many of my USB based device away from my computer. Once I get this device, I would move my printer, external hard disk drive to another table that is around 2 meters away. This is definitely a good buy if you have lot of USB devices and less space to accommodate all these in your current setup. The price that it may retail for, looks a bit on higher side as of now but once people start adopting the price may come down. What do you think? Would you buy this when it comes to market?

  1. Funny enough, I had only just finished reading a PC World article about this very device.

Though they also mentioned a family of devices by Logear that would sell for around $199 for hub and adaptor. At around the $200+ dollar mark for hub and adaptor I will get one when they are available in the UK as, like you, it would make me work area much tidier. Though I will probably hope to get the logear version as it can work with up to three PCs with the switching between the three via a button on the hub. Among other uses, the logear version could make for a fairly simple NAS type device with USB external drives as I have a lot of external disks.

  2. New Intel chips going to be cheaper than ones from AMD.
