Get Notifications of Unread Items from Google Reader in System Tray

ADVERTISEMENTS

Google Reader Notifier is a small utility that sits in system tray and alerts you when ever you have new unread RSS items in your Google Reader. When you have unread items in your Google reader you would be getting an alert as shown in below screenshot:

It may turn annoying if you have subscribed to lot of RSS feeds and may get alerts very often. The author has provided the option in which you can set the time interval to check for new updates. The best feature that I found is that you can filter the alert notifications based on the labels. This is very useful as you get alerted only for the RSS feeds that you intend to get alerted.

To get started download the program install it and then supply your Google reader credentials the software will do the rest for you.
