LOL This shit is shiny and stuff but it’s gonna eat you RAM!
Windows 7 Build 6801 devours 25% of my RAM while I idle. I run 3GB of RAM in my machine. That totals out to about 750 MB of RAM just to keep it running! That’s crazily absurd! Please reduce RAM consumption! We don’t need another Vista! ;o;

Well, they are copying Apple Mac OS X again… the new taskbar is basically the Dock! the taskbar just doesn’t work as well as the Dock…
Actually, they’re not copying MAC OSX.. they’re copying Windows 1.0, but with much better graphics (look for a screenshot of Windows 1.0 if you dont believe me)
For those who complain about the ram usuage being so high, I want to smack you.
This had been in some linux flavors for a long time now and since Vista was released they are using a prefetching memory cache scheme to optimize various common action paths for the user.
The amount of ram being used is not an accurate view of the running system, look at the cache numbers boy.
And yes I have a mac and used Both the Dock and new SuperBar Taskbar on Windows 7 extensively.
Its just great and has a much better feel than the dock for me.
Definitely not a mac rip off.

In the country of Microsoft this is pretty good, but the 3 goals they set (faster, safer, and more reliable) are three thing i think Microsoft can’t make.

Come on everyone this is not yet a real beta version 25%/3 gb of ram it’s the same as vista so think about it when it will be a rtm version in 1 year it will run with less memory usage and i realy love the build 6801 it work very well on my computer evrything work…so take your time to test it…remember that is a PRE beta version!
and for people who said that is another copy of another os…are you smoking something bad?stop trying to say its a bad os cause it will be the greater os on earth to date!The new taskbar its a revolution and nothing is same as it please stop crying and enjoy the new supergreat taskbar!
It’s an older version of windows 1.0 with a better twist to it. Not a copy of mac! Great things are happing for WIN OS 7. Also-to-add, the OS is in two parts: the old NT platform and 2000 build for apps. LOOK AT THE SOURCE FILES!; PEOPLE.
